· Assign a colour to each family member for towels and face cloths.
· Look at the furniture in other rooms for inspirational storage units.
· A tiered plant stand or hanging fruit basket can be used to store toiletries.
· Keep all hair care equipment together in a basket or other pretty container.

The Medicine Chest
· Take everything out of it and wipe the shelves down
· Throw out all medications over one year old – ask the pharmacist how to dispose of them safely
· Throw out anything else you haven’t used in more than 5 years
· Throw out or give away any duplicate items
· Group together the items you use every day and place them in one spot back in the cabinet.
· Assign one shelf or one section for every person that uses that bathroom.
· Apply labels to the edges of the shelves, identifying what belongs there.
· Store your medicines in a kitchen cupboard or other place. Warm, humid bathroom environments can cause some medicines to deteriorate.
· Purchase or make a First Aid Kit and keep everything you need for emergencies in it. |
